Plants with hysteranthous leaves, solitary, inflorescence up to 160 mm high. Tuber globose to depresso-globose, up to 35 mm long, 35 mm wide; skin light brown, interior white; growing point apical, !-several per tuber. Old leaf sheaths about 30 mm long, 3 mm wide, light brown, membranous. Leaf solitary, sub-erect; contemporary leaf sheath exserted by up to 50 mm, 1.5 mm diameter, pinkish-white, covered with fine, straight, horizontal, transparent hairs; lamina broadly ovate-cordate, acute, apiculate up to 40 mm from the apex to the depression and 45 mm from apex to lobes, 35 mm wide, fleshy, adaxial surface dark green, abaxial surface lighter green and shiny, both surfaces covered with scattered hairs up to 2 mm long, more numerous and longer towards the margins. Peduncular bract indistinguishable from the foliage leaves. Peduncle up to 60 mm long and 1 mm diameter, green, with scattered horizontal hairs from the base sometimes up to the first pedicel. Raceme lax, 75-90 mm long, 26 mm wide, rachis glabrous, with up to 15 flowers. Bracts triangular, barely 1 mm long, closely adpressed to the pedicels, transparent, membranous. Pedicels erecto-patent, lowest up to 10 mm long in flower, green. Flowers spreading to recurved when fully open, 13 mm diameter. Tepals sub-equal, white with a narrow, green to maroon midnerve, outer linear, 7 mm long and 2 mm wide; inner narrowly lanceolate, acute, 8 mm long, 2.3 mm wide, upper half tending to fold inwards, with irregularly serrate margins. Filaments erect, subequal, adnate to the base of the tepals, filiform, narrowed and arched to support the anther, white, outer 4 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, inner 5 mm long, 0.5 mm wide; anthers sub-globose, 0.5 mm long, yellow. Ovary narrowly ovoid, merging into the style, longitudinally ridged, 2.8 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, pale green. Style cylindrical, 1.5 mm long, white.
