Plants synanthous, inflorescence up to 150 mm high. Tuber small, globose, becoming irregular in shape and multiple with age, 10-15 mm long, 8-18 mm wide; skin light brown, very thin, interior white to pale pink; growing point apical, up to 10 on one tuber. Old leaf sheaths up to 50 mm long and 5 mm diameter, coarsely fibrous, dark brown on the outside. Leaves normally 2 per growing point, erect or suberect; leaf sheaths not exserted or up to 15 mm long; lamina linear, about 60 mm long and 4 mm wide or elliptic, 10 mm long and 5 mm wide, green both surfaces, glabrous or basally hairy. Peduncle up to 100 mm long, 0.7 mm diameter, glabrous or basally pilose. Raceme 2-3 per growing point, irregularly-shaped, lax, 45 mm long, 40 mm wide, with 8-10 flowers. Bracts ovate, cymbiform, 1 mm long, membranous. Pedicels arcuate, lowest up to 35 mm long, upper shorter. Flowers campanulate, becoming recurved, up to 12 mm diameter. Tepals equal to sub-equal, 5 mm long, 2 mm wide, bright yellow with a green midnerve, apically red streaked. Filaments adnate to the base of the tepals, erect, filiform, 4 mm long, yellow. Ovary globose to ovoid, with indentations marking the locules, 1.8-2.0 mm long and 1.5 mm wide, green. Style cylindrical, 3 mm long, yellow.
