Plants with hysteranthous leaves, inflorescence up to 320 mm high. Tuber simple or forming several horizontal stolons, irregularly-shaped, up to 55 mm long and 25 mm wide, stolons up to 70 mm long and 3 mm wide, with club-shaped ends containing a growing point; skin fawn, interior pale pink; growing point basal to lateral. Old leaf sheaths up to 40 mm long and 2 mm wide, membranous. Leaf solitary, sub-erect; contemporary leaf sheath barely exserted, white, fleshy; lamina prostrate, narrowly to broadly ovate-cordate, up to 45 mm from apex to leaf sheath and 55 mm wide, bright green, glabrous. Peduncular bract barely exserted, membranous. Peduncle up to 320 mm long and 1.0-1.5 mm diameter, green overlaid with some red streaking. Raceme lax, up to 130 mm long and 45 mm wide with up to 35 flowers. Bracts cymbiform to saccate, 1 mm long, membranous with a dark brown midnerve. Pedicels erecto-patent, arcuate, up to 30 mm long. Flowers triangular to campanulate, not spreading, up to 8 mm diameter. Tepals dimorphic, connate for 0.5-1.0 mm at the base, yellowish-white with a dark green midnerve overlaid with a broad band of red streaking; outer tepals erecto-patent sometimes with recurved apices when fully open, broadly elliptic, attenuate, 5.5 mm long, 2.3 mm wide; inner erect, broadly spathulate with white, crisped and fimbriate, with connivent apices, 6 mm long and 2.8 mm wide. Filaments surrounded and hidden by the tepals, sub-equal, adnate to the base of the tepals., narrowly triangular, arched, 3mm long and 1 mm wide at the base; anthers turquoise blue. Ovary globose, 1 mm long and wide, green dotted with purple. Style cylindrical, 2 mm long, white.
