Plants with hysteranthous leaves, solitary, inflorescence 130 mm high. Tuber depresso-globose, about 20 mm long, 300 mm wide: skin thin, light greyish-brown, interior white; growing point apical. Old leaf sheaths 30-60 mm long, up to 5 mm wide, membranous, greyish-brown, becoming rough in older plants. Leaf solitary, sub-erect; contemporary leaf sheath exserted about 10 mm, 2 mm diameter, covered with colourless, straight hairs, 2-4 mm long; lamina orbicular-cordate to broadly ovate, up to 25 mm long and 35 mm wide, green both surfaces, somewhat fleshy, veins not obvious, adaxial surface sparsely hairy, abaxial surface covered with long, straight, white hairs; margin somewhat crisped to crenate and thickened. Peduncular bract exserted about 15 mm, sheathing, with scattered short white hairs. Peduncle 30-35 mm long, about 1 mm diameter. Raceme conical, lax, 60 mm long and 30 mm wide at the base with 9-18 flowers. Bracts broadly triangular, semi-amplexicaul, membranous, colourless with a brown midnerve. Pedicels straight, patent to erecto-patent, lowest up to 12 mm long, uppermost about 3 mm long. Flowers small, cup-shaped. Tepals free, equal to sub-equal, elliptic, about 4 mm long, 1.5 mm wide, whitish with a green midnerve. Filaments adnate to the base of the tepals, flat, triangular, about 1.5 mm long, 0.6 mm wide at the base tapering gradually to the apex. Ovary ovoid, about 1.3 mm long and wide. Style about 1 mm long.
