Plants with hysteranthous leaves, solitary, inflorescence up to 150 mm high. Tuber pyriform, up to 20 mm long and 6 mm wide at the base; skin light brown, interior pale pink; growing point basal with a lateral groove. Old leaf sheaths up to 60 mm long and 1.5 mm diameter, light greyish-brown. Leaf solitary, erect; contemporary leaf sheath exserted 35 mm, less than 0.5 mm diameter, very wiry and spirally twisted; lamina narrowly linear, acute, up to 45 mm long and 2.5 mm wide, glaucous green, glabrous; immature lamina small, prostrate, ovate-cordate and glaucous sometimes with a ciliate margin. Peduncular bract barely exserted, 1.5 mm non-sheathing, membranous, colourless with faint brown veins and apex. Peduncle about 35 mm long, rarely up to 100 mm long, wiry, dark reddish-green at the base becoming green above. Raceme up to 25 mm long, 15 mm wide with 2- 14 flowers. Bracts triangular, barely 1 mm long, membranous, whitish with a brown midnerve. Pedicels up to 8 mm long, erecto-patent, arcuate, dark reddish-green. Flowers campanulate with a triangular outline from above. Tepals dimorphic, white with a green midnerve sometimes overlaid with fine red streaking; the outer tepals erect, spreading in the upper half, narrowly elliptic, attenuate, 5 mm long and 1.3 mm wide, the inner erect, narrowly obovate with a fimbriate pinched-in apex, 3.8 mm long and 1.5 mm wide. Filaments dimorphic, adnate nearly 2 mm up the tepals, white; the outer narrowly triangular, 0.8 mm long and 0.5 mm wide at the base, the inner broader, 0.8 mm long and wide; anthers yellow. Ovary globose, nearly 1 mm long and 1 mm wide, pale green. Style cylindrical, 1 mm long, white.
