Plants with hysteranthous leaves, solitary, inflorescence about 90 mm high. Tuber small to medium sized, irregularly lobed or unlobed; skin pale brown, interior translucent purplish-red, growing point basal. Old leaf sheaths about 60 mm long and 2 mm wide, pale chestnut brown, membranous. Leaf prostrate and often closely adpressed; contemporary leaf sheath barely exserted; lamina ovate to orbicular-cordate, up to 18 mm wide and 20 mm from apex to lobes; under surface paler than upper, glabrous; upper surface bearing few to several simple, terete enations mainly towards the margins, of varying lengths up to 5 mm long and about 1 mm wide, crowned with a stellate tuft of 20-30 white hairs of varying lengths up to 1.5 mm; margin with similar tufts of hairs. Peduncular bract not seen. Peduncle 70 mm long, 0.5 mm wide. Raceme 18 mm long, with 3 flowers. Bracts cymbiform, 1.5-2.0 mm long, membranous with a brown midnerve. Pedicels up to 6 mm long. Flowers triangular, up to 8 mm diameter. Tepals dimorphic, white with a pale green midnerve, outer elliptic to oblanceolate, 5 mm long and 1.5-1.8 mm wide, inner spathulate with a pinched-in fimbriate apex, 4.5 mm long and 2 mm wide. Filaments apparently dimorphic, white, outer broadly ovate, inner adnate at the base then narrowing rather abruptly, free part less than 0.8 mm long. Ovary globose, pale green, 1.5 mm long and wide. Style cylindrical, a little shorter than the ovary.
