Plants with hysteranthous leaves, solitary, inflorescence up to 450 mm high. Tuber irregularly-shaped, up to 50 mm long and 25 mm wide; skin thin, brown, internally white; growing point basal. Old leaf sheaths up to 65 mm long and 8 mm wide, light brown, membranous. Leaf solitary, erect; contemporary leaf sheath up to 80 mm long, barely 1 mm diameter, dark purple, glabrous; lamina narrowly lanceolate, up to 180 mm long and 18 mm wide, glaucous, rugose with prominent longitudinal veins, glabrous; margin smooth, entire. Peduncular bract exserted up to 50 mm, 3 mm diameter, sheathing except the upper 3-4 mm, apex retrorse, brown, densely covered with minute white hairs. Peduncle up to 340 mm long and 1.0-1.5 mm diameter, light green, glabrous. Raceme narrowly cylindrical, up to 85 mm long and 18 mm wide, with about 16 flowers. Bracts broadly ovate, 1.~1.5 mm long, membranous, white. Pedicels up to 6 mm long, erecto-patent. Flowers rotate, 9-10 mm diameter. Tepals sub-equal, spreading, 5 mm long and 1.5-2.0 mm wide, light green with a darker green midnerve, reddish at the apex. Filaments equal, adnate to the base of the tepals, spathulate, apiculate, 2.5 mm long and about 1 mm at the widest near the apiculate apex, white; anthers over 1 mm long, yellow. Ovary ovoid, 2.5 mm long and 1.8 mm wide, green. Style cylindrical, nearly 2 mm long, white.
