The Nolinoideae is a subfamily within the Asparagaceae in the APG III system. It includes genera that were previously placed in a number of different families, such as Ruscaceae, Dracaenaceae, Nolinaceae and Convallariaceae. This morphologically diverse group has a wide distribution and can be found in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, North and South America.
